On August 25, more than 350 students and graduates of Texas State University in Querétaro had the opportunity to take that step during the fifth edition of the Career Fair at Elisia Education Hub, a day that brought them closer to the professional world.
Building a career doesn’t begin after you receive a degree. It begins when you explore your interests, learn about different industries, make new connections, and discover where you want to take your talents.
EXPLORE TODAY TO MAKE BETTER DECISIONS TOMORROW
Choosing a university degree is only one part of the journey. Throughout professional training, new questions also arise: In which industry do I want to develop my career? What type of company best suits my goals? What experience do I need to start building my profile?
During the Career Fair, students were able to begin finding their own answers by interacting directly with 26 companies, institutions, and civil society organizations.
Throughout the day, they learned about job opportunities, professional internships, trainee programs, and social service projects, as well as talking with representatives from different sectors and expanding their network of contacts.
The universities that are part of the Elisia Education Hub provide students with an environment to develop the skills that will allow them to build a competitive and internationally focused career path. Through the American educational model and classes taught entirely in English, they can prepare themselves to thrive in global professional contexts.
Furthermore, upon graduating from Texas State University Querétaro, they obtain a degree valid in the United States and another accredited by the Secretaría de Educación Pública (SEP), expanding their opportunities to continue their professional development in Mexico and around the world.
OPPORTUNITIES ARE ALSO BUILT
The Career Fair is not just about finding a job opening. It’s a space to discover possibilities that may not yet have been on each student’s radar.
From the early years of university, getting closer to the professional environment allows you to learn what organizations are looking for, identify new areas of interest, and understand what skills can make a difference when entering the job market.
As part of the inauguration, Alberto Alesi, General Director of ManpowerGroup for Mexico, the Caribbean and Central America, shared with the attendees a reflection on the importance of starting to build a professional career from an early stage.
His message reinforced a central idea of the day: you don’t need to wait until you graduate to start building the professional future you want.
A CONNECTION THAT CAN BECOME THE NEXT STEP
A conversation can lead to a new contact. A contact can lead to a professional internship. An internship can help you discover the industry in which you want to grow.
Each interaction during the Career Fair represented an opportunity for students and graduates to broaden their perspective and move more clearly towards their own goals.
Through Career Services, Elisia Education Hub continues to create spaces that bring the university community closer to companies and organizations, providing the necessary tools and connections so that each student can build their own professional path.
Because your career doesn’t begin when you graduate, it begins with the decisions, experiences, and connections you build from now on.
