Game On X’s
Being a student-athlete means experiencing university life both inside and outside the classroom. Every practice, every competition, and every opportunity to represent your university becomes an experience that strengthens your discipline, development, and overall well-being. Competing while progressing through your studies is also a way to grow, take on new challenges, and enhance your university experience.
On September 26, the men’s and women’s Rugby teams participated in the first Festival Game On X’s, held within the Elisia Education Hub campus and with the participation of six teams from the Bajío and Western regions.
A competitive experience that goes beyond the campus
Game On X’s is an official 10-a-side rugby union format managed by the Mexican Rugby Federation. Its format aims to broaden participation opportunities and create more flexible competitions for programs and players at different stages of development.
For the participants, being part of these types of events means having the opportunity to compete outside the university environment, face clubs from other parts of the region, and continue developing through real game experience.
And that’s one of the main advantages of being part of a representative team: your athletic development can progress at the same time as you build your university career.
Studying and competing can be part of the same path
The student-athlete program at Texas State University Querétaro integrates an international university education with high-performance athletic competitions. Training, discipline, and academic development are all part of the same experience within the universities of the Elisia Education Hub.
This allows sport to be not an activity separate from university, but an active part of your education.
As a student-athlete, you find an environment where you can continue to prepare academically while maintaining the level of rigor and commitment required to represent your university.
Competing allows you to keep challenging yourself
Being part of a representative team also means finding new scenarios to compete in.
Participation in national and international leagues and competitions provides opportunities for student-athletes to face diverse opponents, gain experience, and continue raising their competitive level. The program includes participation in competitions such as ONEFA and CONADEIP, as well as access to sports facilities for various disciplines.
Events like Game On X’s show how these opportunities are experienced in practice: new teams, new competition formats and new challenges that help each athlete to continue developing.
Sports also build your college experience
Choosing a university also means thinking about everything you want to experience during those years.
If sports are part of who you are, you don’t have to leave them behind to start your college career. You can keep training. You can keep competing. You can represent your university. And you can do it all while you’re working toward your academic goals.
For student-athletes, experiences like Game On X’s are an opportunity to continue growing, excel academically and athletically, compete in new settings, and be part of a sports community that continues to develop both on and off campus.
Your college career can take you to the classroom and also to the playing field. Discover how you can continue your journey as a student-athlete and represent your university with pride and passion while building a bright and successful future.
